Community Guidelines

CineCircle only works if people actually enjoy showing up to it. These guidelines exist to keep watch groups, Reel Talk, and chat feeling welcoming for every movie fan who uses them. They sit alongside our Terms of Service, which covers the legal side of things — this page is about how we expect people to actually treat each other.

1. Be someone you'd want to sit next to at the movies

Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated meeting up with strangers who share your taste in film. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted insults — about someone's opinions on a movie or anything else.

2. Tag your spoilers

Not everyone watches a movie the same weekend it comes out. When posting on Reel Talk about plot details, twists, or endings, use the "Contains Spoilers" tag so others can choose when to read it.

3. Show up, or say you can't

Groups fall apart when people ghost. If you've joined a group and can no longer make it, let the group know in chat rather than just not showing up.

4. Meet safely

CineCircle helps you find people to watch a movie with — it doesn't vet who you're meeting. Always meet at the cinema itself or another well-lit, public spot (never a private address), let a friend or family member know your plans, and trust your instincts if something feels off.

5. No spam, scams, or self-promotion

Don't use groups, chat, or Reel Talk to advertise unrelated products, services, or accounts, or to run scams of any kind.

6. Keep it age-appropriate

CineCircle is used by movie fans of all ages. Keep posts, group descriptions, and chat messages appropriate for a general audience.

7. What happens if these are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban an account. If you run into behavior that breaks these guidelines, contact us using the details below with as much detail as you can — the group or post involved, the user, and what happened.
